Songs from the Third Floor

Songs from the Third Floor is an interactive performance work, based on a set of questions curated by the artist with the intention of examining an individuals relationship with longing, love, the physicality of memory in an attempt to map ones place in this life. Inspired by Indian American author Bhanu Kapils, 'The Vertical Interrogation of Strangers', the work invites an audience to answer 24 questions. It seeks to dissect how one may anchor themselves to this world, with relation to their beloved past; and navigate the inherently incorrigible nature of memory. The work is ongoing and evolving.
